Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers Lilypie First Birthday tickers

We did it!

To say the race was hard would be an understatement.I'll say it was hot, hilly, crowded and yes, I hope to do it again.

Runners in line to get on the shuttles that took us to the start line.

A shot of runners. There 25000+ out there.

A shot of Melanie and me at about mile 3. We were feeling good at this point.

Me at mile 9. I was STRUGGLING. Melanie and I separated at mile 7.

Mile 12.5 So ready to be finished!

Melanie's time was 2:45 and mine was 3:01. Neither of us met our goal, but we are still very proud.

We did find a little energy to eat dinner and go out for a little while. We called it an early night and went to SLEEP!

Thanks to the Harrisons for letting us stay. We had a great time.

I'm so glad we did this!!! I would write something very emotionally inspired but there's no need to make both of us cry!! It means so much! You're da bomb!!! At least you have a good excuse for being a tortiouse ( u know... a turtle, I don't think I spelled tortiouse right). I'm just plan slow! Tell Matthew, he can't have you for all the races to come. Better save some for me!
