Sweet faces

These were taken one night after we finished dinner.

Swim Lessons

Emily Kay took swimming lessons for two weeks. She got to take lessons with her friends Audrey and Madison. All three girls did so well!
These are out of order, but here are Audrey and Emlly Kay all excited for their first lesson.

Emily Kay ready to get in!

Leaving our house the first morning.

10 months

Cannon and Adelaide were ten months on June 6, 2010. Time is flying. They've come a long from those preemie days in the NICU

At ten months old they are both crawling, pulling up, cruising along furniture, and getting into everything. This is a fun, but exhausting stage. They have really started to play together which is nice because they generally stay together instead of going in opposite directions. They love to play with Emily Kay's toys. It's like they know it's hers and they want it.

They are on the same eating and sleeping schedule they were on at nine months except I am trying to get them to take their 3:00 bottle out of sippy cup. It's not going very well. They will drink water or juice all day long from a cup, but they both refuse to take formula from the cup.

Adelaide finally got her two bottom teeth. She had a really hard time with teething and was very fussy, had a little fever, and was pretty sad for a few days. She has learned to clap and loves to do it when you say "Yea Adelaide!" She also likes to play peek-a-boo and pat a cake.

Cannon's other top tooth is making its way in. I am very thankful he doesn't seem to be bothered by teething. Cannon also is clapping to "Yea Cannon" and pat a cake. He has always liked cars, but in the past few days he has become obsessed! He will crawl across the room to get it and then will crawl around pushing it.

We will be celebrating their first birthday in a matter of weeks. It's so crazy for me to think of this time last year because I thought the summer was never going to end! Now, I'm wishing it would slow down!

Memorial Day

We headed to see the O'Banions for Mermorial Day weekend. I didn't take many pictures, I just enjoyed the weekend. We didn't do much of anything. We enjoyed spending time with our sweet friends. We miss them so much.

Miss Addie Laddie looking out the window.
All the kiddos after church...I think they should be in a certain catalog. ;)

A sweet smile from Emily Kay. She LOVED getting to play with Ella!

Last Day of MMO

Emily Kay had a great year in her two year old MMO class. She loved her teachers and her friends. I have been so pleased with this program and I am looking forward to her starting preschool in the fall.

On the last day of school, they had a splash party to celebrate the start of summer and to end the school year. Emily Kay had a blast.
Saying a quick hello to her babies. Just look at Adelaide's smile!

9 months

Wow! Cannon and Adelaide were nine months old on May 6,2011

Adelaide celebrated in a big way by learning to crawl. As hard as it is to keep up with her, she is a much happier baby now that she can move and groove and get to where she wants to be. Also in her ninth month, she learned to get into a sitting position from her tummy, pull up, and wave "bye bye". It was a huge month for her developmentally. She is very much a mama's girl. I love it, but it is exhausting! She cries when I leave the room, she cries if I walk past her and don't stop to speak or pick her up, she cries if I even dare to put Cannon in the crib or car seat first, she cries if I am holding Cannon, she cries if I do anything that doesn't include her! BUT - she is an extremely happy baby when I am away. It is very hard because she is usually with me and it wears me out. Oh how I love her though...there is something really sweet about being the one she wants. She loves anything that plays music. She likes to play Emily Kay's Little People doll house and she loves the ball popper. She waves her hands all in the air and just laughs. It is the cutest thing!

Cannon, not wanting to be out done by his "baby" sister, learned to crawl on May 18, 2011. I really think he learned out of necessity, Adelaide would crawl up to him, take his toy, put the toy in her mouth and then crawl away. It was pretty funny to watch, because he was getting a taste of his own medicine. He would get so mad and poke his little bottom lip out, thankfully he was easily distracted. He is an easygoing, laid back baby. He can be pretty serious and he is still not to quick to give out a smile. He loves anything with wheels and anything that rolls. He likes to look at books and he likes the door stoppers. Cannon got his first teeth during this month. He now has three. Two on the bottom and one on the top.

At nine months, they are both eating 4 bottles a day, taking 2 naps a day, eating 3 meals, and sleeping for 8-7, Life is pretty good with this schedule! They have started eating some finger foods. They love puffs, cheerios, bananas, and pears.

At their 9 month appointment they both were doing great! Adelaide weighed 17lbs 10 oz and was 27.5 inches long. She was in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. Cannon weighed 23 lbs and 10 oz and was 30.5 inches long. He was in the 95th percentile for both weight and height.
