When we got home from my mom's house on Christmas Eve, Emily Kay got Santa's milk and cookies ready to put by the fireplace. Then we got her ready for bed. Thankfully, the busy day had tired her out and she was asleep in no time. And Santa came!Emily Kay woke up around 6:30 (not too early) and we made her wait with us in our room while we fed Cannon and Adelaide their morning bottle. She was not happy but I wanted to be able to take pictures and record her reactions.
The first thing that caught her eye was the Cinderella crown and DVD. She was so funny. Ella has the same movie and Emily Kay insisted that it was Ella's and that Santa did not bring her another Cinderella movie. Then she realized that the keyboard made lots of different sounds and had a microphone and she had fun playing with it for about 15 minutes (that's a long time for this little girl).
Next, she found the Toy Story memory game and we had to play then. She's got a pretty good memory! Then she was ready to see what was in her stocking. This was my favorite to watch because she was so animated about every little thing.
Making sure she got it all. Then she helped Cannon and Adelaide see what Santa brought for them. She was so sweet to them.

Cannon and Adelaide's first Christmas and Emily Kay's first Christmas as a big sister.
We had cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate for breakfast and then got ready to go over to Lolla and Pop's house.

Cannon and Adelaide taking it all in.
Adelaide got a little fussy so she got to sit in Gan's lap.
The funniest gift this year was this Superman Snuggie that my mom gave Johnny. Too funny!
Emily Kay also loved her Castle!
The aftermath!
After opening presents, we ate our traditional Christmas meal of quail and cheese grits. Yum Yum! Then Emily Kay fell asleep and some of us played a little Apples to Apples.
Sweet baby boy!
That evening we went over to Matthew's parents to celebrate with them. I don't have many pictures from their house, but Matthew got a Wii and he was very excited!
Emily Kay loved her Snow White CD and gloves.Cannon and Adelaide were too tired to even know where they were.
We had a fantastic day!

Christmas Eve 2010
We enjoyed Christmas eve by spending time with Matthew's extended family, going to the Christmas Eve service at church, and finishing off the day at my mom's house. It was so nice to do all of our Christmas Eve activities for the first time as a family of five. We were late every where we went, but that's okay. We enjoyed the day and really tried hard not to rush.

Sweet little ladybug.
Do you think Emily Kay liked the Cinderella dress?

December...
We've had a wonderful month...
Cannon and Adelaide are now 4 months old and are as sweet as ever. We took them to their 4 month check up and both received a great report. I feel incredibly blessed that these two sweet babies are healthy and have overcome being 2 weeks early in such a short amount of time. Cannon weighed 17lb 4 oz and was 26 inches long. He's in the 90th percentile for both weight and height. Adelaide weighed 13 lb and 9 oz and was 24.5 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. (Adelaide has the exact same stats EK had at her 4 month check up - pretty good for Adelaide considering EK entered the world 2 pounds bigger)
Cannon and Adelaide are generally laid back. They have begun to notice each other and smile and coo. They are both getting stronger and love sitting in their bumbo seats.
Cannon still eats 6 oz every three hours and Adelaide has moved up to 5 oz every 3 hours. Both babies sleep from 10:30 to 7:30.
The only picture I took on December 6.
Emily Kay went to the opening of the new Children's Museum. saw Disney Princess on Ice, had a Christmas party at school, and went to see the lights in Canton. I've been terrible about taking pictures, that is going to be one of my New Year's Resolutions.
Emily Kay has really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas this year. She loves the Nativity set, the Christmas tree, wrapping gifts, making treats, and looking at Christmas lights. It has been wonderful to experience the Christmas season through the eyes of a child.

4 months
Taken on December 6th. I forgot to take a picture of you so I got this one of you both sleeping as we were headed to Lolla and Pop's.Cannon and Adelaide:
I simply can NOT believe that it has been 4 months since you entered into this world. You two are such sweet babies. During the fourth month I watched you leave the newborn stage and enter into the stage when you begin to notice what's going on around you. You both rolled over from your stomach to your back. You began to grab and reach for toys. You still take bottles every 3 hours. Adelaide switched from the preemie formula to Enfamil premium. This is the same as Cannon and it has made preparing bottles so much easier!
At your well baby check up your stats were:
Cannon - 17lbs 4 oz and 26 inches long 90th percentile for both
Adelaide - 13 lbs 9 oz and 24.5 inches long 50to percentile for both (exact same as EK at her 4 month check up)
The doctor could not believe how fast Cannon had grown. He came in the room and said he asked the nurse to redo his weight and height check. She told him to go look at him first and then she would redo it if he thought it was still necessary. The doctor took one look at him and said that those measurements were right on target. Big ol' boy!
You both still take a bottle at 10:30 but you both sleep through the night until 7:30. You both still LOVED to be swaddled at night. Cannon wiggles his left arm free so that he can suck his thumb. You are not on a nap schedule yet, but no worries you will get there.
You have both noticed Emily Kay and love to watch her. She also enjoys making you smile. She loves to tell you that all those toys were hers when she was "wittle baby".
My three babies.
