Christmas Morning

When we got home from my mom's house on Christmas Eve, Emily Kay got Santa's milk and cookies ready to put by the fireplace. Then we got her ready for bed. Thankfully, the busy day had tired her out and she was asleep in no time. And Santa came!
Emily Kay woke up around 6:30 (not too early) and we made her wait with us in our room while we fed Cannon and Adelaide their morning bottle. She was not happy but I wanted to be able to take pictures and record her reactions.

The first thing that caught her eye was the Cinderella crown and DVD. She was so funny. Ella has the same movie and Emily Kay insisted that it was Ella's and that Santa did not bring her another Cinderella movie.
Then she realized that the keyboard made lots of different sounds and had a microphone and she had fun playing with it for about 15 minutes (that's a long time for this little girl).

Next, she found the Toy Story memory game and we had to play then. She's got a pretty good memory! Then she was ready to see what was in her stocking. This was my favorite to watch because she was so animated about every little thing.

Making sure she got it all.
Then she helped Cannon and Adelaide see what Santa brought for them. She was so sweet to them.

We had cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate for breakfast and then got ready to go over to Lolla and Pop's house.

Adelaide got a little fussy so she got to sit in Gan's lap.

The funniest gift this year was this Superman Snuggie that my mom gave Johnny. Too funny!
Emily Kay also loved her Castle!

The aftermath!
After opening presents, we ate our traditional Christmas meal of quail and cheese grits. Yum Yum! Then Emily Kay fell asleep and some of us played a little Apples to Apples.

Sweet baby boy!

That evening we went over to Matthew's parents to celebrate with them. I don't have many pictures from their house, but Matthew got a Wii and he was very excited!
Emily Kay loved her Snow White CD and gloves.

Cannon and Adelaide were too tired to even know where they were.

We had a fantastic day!
