Heart O' Dixie Triathlon

We drove to Louisville on Friday morning to spend the day at Lake Tiak O'Khata. We met Amy and Dan and their boys. It was a fun day. If you've never been, it's a great place for families. We all had fun watching the kids play. Emily Kay and Will are now at an age where they can really interact and are so fun for us to watch. They had a great time together.

Playing in the sand.

Playing in the water.

Emily Kay loved the slide. She kept saying "SIIIIDE"

Will and Emily Kay being sweet.

By the end of the day Emily Kay was exhausted! Here she is relaxing.

We made our way to Starkville and Emily Kay was asleep before we were even out of the parking lot! We ate dinner at Grumpy's. It had great food and is a fun place to take little ones. Here are Emily Kay and Will loving on each other. Amy and I have talked about an arranged marriage. :)
(Emily Kay's mouth is wide open because she was saying "OOOOOHHHHH")

Matthew and I woke up really early on Saturday to make our way back to Lake Tiak O'Khata. The triathlon started at 6:30, because of the staggered start time Matthew didn't go until 7:00. I watched Matthew swim and get on his bike then I drove to the Neshoba County Fair to see him finish. Matthew's official time was 2 hours 25 minutes and 9 seconds. He did a great job! Thanks to Amy and Dan for keeping Emily Kay. ( I forgot my camera and don't have any pictures from the triathlon. :( )

We spent the rest of Saturday being lazy and Amy cooked a delicious dinner. We came back today and have been extremely lazy.

Here's a video of Emily Kay playing on Will's "tractor". This video doesn't even begin to show how much she loved this toy! Cracks me up! She never did figure out how to steer.

Thanks Amy and Dan! As always, we had a great time!

My Baby Sis!

If you're able, you should come see her in Thoroughly Modern Millie at New Stage. The play runs Thursday night through Sunday afternoon. Sigrid is Millie!!! So proud of her!

I've played this for EK several times and each time when it's finished she claps and says "Yay"! Precious!

Summer Fun

We are enjoying our summer. Emily Kay is really at a fun age right now. She tries to mimic what we say and do. She just cracks me up.

She turned fifteen months on the 3rd and we went for her check up on Monday. She's developing just as she should. She weighs 18 lbs and 8 oz. She's 28.5 inches long. This puts her in the 3rd percentile for both weight and height. She's a little bitty thing! I catch myself calling her bitty during the day.

The only thing that disappointments me about her being so small is that she STILL has to face the rear in her car seat. Our doctor really discouraged me from turning her around until she reaches 20 pounds. I know that she doesn't care because she doesn't even know it's an option, but I feel bad for her because it so HOT and it takes forever for the vents to cool her down.

Favorites at 15 months:
books
Elmo
dogs
baby dolls
tea parties
Nutrigrain bars
fruit
makeup brushes

Loving her first ice cream cone

Celebrating Ella's 2nd birthday.

Fascinated by the hot air balloons at the Balloon Glow

Having fun with Brody.

Playdate at our house.

Matthew and I celebrated our fourth anniversary yesterday. Can't believe it's been that long. We've now been married as long as we dated! We were able to enjoy eating at Bonefish and going to the movies. We'd planned to see The Hangover, but got there too late and decided to see The Proposal. I loved it and Matthew didn't hate it, so it was a good Chick Flick. We took this of ourselves when we got home. I almost forgot to take it.
