Seven Months

Cannon and Adelaide were seven months on March 6th. At seven months old they have finally dropped a bottle and eat every four hours during the day and they sleep 9 hours straight at night! They still don't have a nap time schedule, but both babies are happy. They eat a fruit with oatmeal for breakfast and a vegetable and a fruit at night. They also had their first puffs and crackers.

They have started to really enjoy each other and they love to watch Emily Kay. Adelaide had her second infection during this month. They are both sitting up better but they still rely on the boppy for help. Cannon loves to roll! Cannon and Adelaide have sort of switched roles. I'm not sure if it is due to the ear infection, but Adelaide has decided that she wants to be held all the time and Cannon is now our content, happy go lucky baby. Hey, at least they are taking turns, right?

Six Months, What?

Seriously, how can it be that Cannon and Adelaide are six months old? I feel like the past six months are a blur. Our days are so busy, but they have brought such joy to our lives. Matthew and I are still so shocked that we have three children. I keep waiting for the shock to wear off, but it hasn't. Life is wonderful.

We took Cannon and Adelaide to their six month check up and they both got great reports. Cannon weighed 19.10 lbs and was 27 inches long. He was in the 95th percentile in both weight and height. Adelaide weighed 15.8 lbs and was 25.5 inches long. She was in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. I am so thankful that both babies are growing and developing right on track.

During this sixth month, both babies have learned to blow raspberries, click their tongues, and they can sit up with help from the boppy. They both found their feet and love to grab their toes. It has become difficult to change their diapers because they love to wiggle. They have also
reached the stage where nothing is safe if it is within their reach.

Cannon continues to be very serious and loves for you to talk to him, He loves to be in the exersaucer and to lay on the activity mat.
Adelaide is still a very content baby, but her rare meltdowns are quite dramatic. She loves her soft blankets and to jump.
They still eat every 3 hours during the day! Oh my goodness, I wish they would stretch that out a little bit. They now eat rice cereal for breakfast and then eat a fruit and vegetable at night. They have tried sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, and pears.

Cannon is such a funny baby. His mood can change in a matter of seconds...

Emily Kay still enjoys reading to them and they both like it as well. This is nice because it allows me to get dressed in the mornings.
During February, we had many beautiful spring-like days and we went to the park a couple of times. Cannon liked the swing, Emily Kay loved to climb, and Adelaide didn't even know she was there.

We also spent afternoons in our backyard. I think they look so much alike in this first picture.
Making the same funny face.

They are all just growing so fast.

Whew, I think I'm finally caught up!
