We had a fabulous time this past weekend. We were very busy, but loved every minute of it. We started off the weekend with my grandmother's 81st birthday party. I forgot to bring my camera, but Emily Kay had a great time and she met a few family members for the first time.
Saturday we did some shopping and then Saturday night we went to The Haymans to cheer on the Bulldogs. The kids and parents had a great time. We were proud of our team.
It was very hard to get a picture of these three moving targets! They had such a fun time and they were all so good. All of us got to stay and watch the whole game.
Sunday afternoon we went to German Fest and enjoyed some Polka Music and Bratwurst. We had fun being with our families and Mary Francis and Wade. *Notice - Emily Kay can now sit unsupported!
She wore herself out!
Our weekend was finished out with DJ's birthday party. We had delicious food and a good time celebrating. Once again,I forgot to take my camera.
Last night Emily Kay experienced her first bath in the big tub. She has outgrown her baby bath and since she can now sit up we decided to give it a try. I'll let you determine if she enjoyed it our not.
One more pic - I love how Emily Kay looks when she first wakes up in the morning. It makes getting up fun to see this sweet little face.
Emily Kay will be 6 months old on Friday. I don't want to believe it, that sounds so big!

First Pair of Jeans
I bought Emily Kay's first pair of jeans. They're Osh Kosh and I think they are precious. This morning I took her to Mother's Day Out and her teacher said, "Girl, you're wearing them jeans!". She's too cute and she looks so big! Enjoy the pictures.

Go State!
I'm late with this post, but Emily Kay has had her first illness. Both of her ears are infected. Poor baby! She's still as sweet as ever. She's taking the bubblegum (Amoxicillin) medicine. I had the strangest feeling giving her the medicine, because I remember my mom giving it me and now I'm giving it to my baby.
Last weekend we made the trip to Starkville for some tailgating and to watch the Bulldogs play. We had a great time hanging out with friends and we are very thankful that Amy and Dan let us stay at their house. Emily Kay enjoyed tailgating until the football player "walk through". She was sound asleep and was woken up by cowbells ringing and police sirens. Cowbells did not make a good first impression! Oh well, she'll learn to love them. After we got her calmed down, she did tolerate the ringing, but you could tell that she was very confused. She kept looking at me as if to say, "Where are we?"
Emily Kay and Will love each other. She was amazed that he could run, jump, and climb. She did not take her eyes off of him. Will was also very sweet to her. He even gave her a nickname - Dippa - translation "the baby". He would pat her and give her hugs and kisses. So Precious!
We all had a great time and can't wait to go back this Saturday. Go Dawgs!
Wearing our Maroon!
Will playing with his tractor.
Emily Kay playing with Matthew.
Will let Emily Kay borrow his tailgating chair.
Before the cowbells!
Strolling to our seats.

Emily Kay is 5 months old!
I know that I say it every month, but I just can't believe that my baby is growing so fast. It is amazing to me how a new little baby comes in and makes life so special. Matthew and I are loving being Emily Kay's parents. She has brought such joy to all of us and I am so excited to watch her grow and grow.
At five months Emily Kay is eating rice cereal and baby food. She loves carrots and squash, but doesn't like sweet potatoes and will NOT eat peaches. She is still a great sleeper. She can roll over both ways and can sit supported. She can also pull up to standing if she's holding onto your fingers. She is constantly blowing bubbles or raspberries. She gives the best smile and I absolutely love hearing her laugh.
Here are some pictures from today.
She still loves her thumb!
Playing in her PJs. I think these are cute. They say "My fairytale has just begun."

Labor Day Weekend
Matthew and I started Labor Day weekend with our first date night post baby. That's right - we had not been out just the two of us in almost 5 months! We had dinner at Two Rivers courtesy of Matthew's parents and babysitting services courtesy of my parents. Our food was delicious and it was such fun to be out just the two of us.
On Saturday Casey, Kristin, and the Taylors came over to watch the State game. We had fun in spite of our team's embarrassing loss. I must say that Emily Kay looks good in MAROON! (Jana - Thanks for the outfit!)
Emily Kay's having fun with Wade!
All the girls in our MSU shirts.
Sunday we visited Parkway Hills Methodist Church. We really enjoyed the service and were glad to see many families with young children. We were lazy most of the afternoon and watched the Law and Order Marathon. Y'all know how I LOVE that show. Matthew gets so frustrated with me because I'll watch the same shows over and over again!
Monday we tried to stay dry and ate hamburgers with Matthew's family.
Emily Kay's first Labor Day weekend was fun and relaxing. We did miss the Whatleys. Amy and Dan - our crappy holidays sure haven't worked out this year!
She was SOOOO tired last night and fell asleep before her bath and bottle!
