Not much going on...

We've just been hanging out around our house. Emily Kay's personality has really started showing. She's a mess! She's still crawling everywhere and does not seem interested in trying to walk, which is fine with me. :) She did move to the one year old room at school and comes home tired from trying to keep up with the "big" kids.

We've had a great January. Emily Kay and I took a sign language class, she's not signing yet, but we'll see. The class was lots of fun. Emily Kay and I also made a trip to Birmingham to visit all of my Edgewood friends. It was great seeing everyone and I can't wait til the next visit!

It's hard to believe that next Tuesday Emily Kay will be 10 months old. In the double digits!

9 Month Check Up

We had Emily Kay's check up last Thursday and she is doing great!

9 month old stats:
Weight - 17 lbs - 25th percentile
Height - 26.75 inches - 25th percentile
Head - 46 cm - 65th percentile

She's a little bitty thing with a big ol' head! She has passed all of the 9 month milestones and gets to start eating more table food.

9 of her favorites:
1. Matthew (Daddy) - She thinks he is so much fun.
2. Anything that plays music - She loves to dance.
3. Elmo and Barney - Probably because they sing and dance!
4. Fake coughing - It's beginning to get on my nerves :)
5. The laundry basket - wished she liked her playpen!
6. Cheerios
7. Bath time and splashing!
8. Books - she doesn't want to take time to read - just to look at the pictures.
9. Getting into trouble! ( She's everywhere!)

Finally...

a vegetable that Emily Kay likes! Well, I'm not sure if they can be called a vegetable, but Emily Kay LOVES refried beans. We went to eat Mexican tonight and decided to give her a taste. Big Mistake! She loved them.

Mississippi Blues Marathon

Matthew ran the Blues Marathon this past weekend. He has been training for about 6 months and he made it! He ran the course (the 26.2 miles) in 3 hours and 45 minutes. I am very proud of him.

9 Months Old

This post is a little late. Emily Kay's 9 month day was this past Saturday. She seems to be changing more and more everyday. She definitely has her opinions and she makes them known! At 9 months, she is taking 4 bottles and eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She loves puffs, any fruit, and goldfish. She doesn't like ANY vegetable. We have to mix the veggies with the fruit for her to eat them. She is crawling everywhere, pulling up, cruising on furniture, and clapping her hands.
(All this info is for me...I look back at the blog and like to see when she reached certain milestones...I know those that look at this blog just want to see pics!)
