For all of you that don't know, my dad is really not a bum. He starts working with my grandpa in one week. However, my mom needed to finish the school year with her second graders so dad's been keeping me. In order for my dad to work with grandpa we have to move to this place called Jackson. Now I've never been there before, but my parents keep telling me that it's going to be great. They keep saying that all of my grandparents live there, and 2 of my 3 aunts live there too. So pretty much that sounds great to me because these people SPOIL me and I am definitely okay with that.
My first Memorial Day weekend has been spent packing. We will be leaving on Saturday! I can't wait to see this place called Jackson.

Dad and me. So maybe he's a little bit of a bum! :)

Me and Dad

Now that dad is unemployed he spends lots and LOTS of time at home. And we are having lots of fun.

We like to hang out on the couch.

And on the play mat.

Like I said, we generally have fun. But daddy is not as much fun as mommy and sometimes, I get bored.

All in all it has been a good week so far. Monday was extremely busy doing absoulutely nothing. Tuesday was a fun filled trip to Wal-mart and Wednesday we went to see Mommy at school. Mommy misses me a lot. We play dress up when she comes home. My favorite is my "Miss April" outfit.

My First Mother's Day

Last weekend (Mother's Day Weekend) Matthew's mom and sister came to see us - well came to see Emily Kay. :) We had a great time visiting with them. Saturday we ate at California Pizza Kitchen, shopped around at Target (where Grandma Sharon bought Emily Kay her cool shades), watched a movie, and just hung out around our house. On Mother's Day Matthew made everyone pancakes. They were delicious! Then it was time for presents. We gave Matthew's mom a Memory Book full of pictures of our little one. Matthew and Emily Kay gave me a digital picture frame. I love it. I've been wanting one since Christmas. My even better presents were frames for Emily Kay's footprints and handprints. I just love them. It was a great first Mother's Day. Thanks to everyone who sent cards and text messages!

Tummy Time

As you will see, Emily Kay is not a big fan of tummy time. She gets very frustrated. We turned her over and she was all smiles!

A Great Weekend!

We had such a fun weekend. Mom and Sigrid and Natalie and Jesse all came to visit. Everyone got in Friday afternoon and then we all went to eat Mexican. Amy and Will came too. Saturday afternoon - Mom, Sigrid, and I took Emily Kay to the Galleria. She slept through her first shopping trip. It was really fun for me to shop for "real" clothes instead of maternity clothes. Then Saturday night mom and Sigrid babysat Emily Kay and Will so that we (The Lees, The Whatleys, and The Kirks)could all go to dinner. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. We had a great time and a really good dinner. I am so glad that Natalie and Jesse were able to make it to Bham. We can't wait to see them again soon.

One Month Old

Emily Kay is a month old! Wow... I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. She is such a sweet, beautiful, good (and I could on and on) baby. She has made our lives so much fun.
