Halloween 2012

Halloween was so much fun this year! Emily Kay wanted to be Fancy Nance and we both had so much fun making her as fancy as possible. Cannon was Popeye, so of Adelaide had to be Olive Oyl. They were so cute! They each had a Fall Party at school and then we went Trick or Treating with Jude and Mabry. This year's Halloween was the first time for Cannon and Adelaide to walk to each house. Adelaide would say "twick or tweat, tanks, you welcome" Then Cannon would walk up and say "Shabba's Turn" We thought it was precious.

Update

Emily Kay at 4 years and 5 months.

Emily Kay loves school. She loves going everyday. We love her teachers and I am so impressed with all she is learning. Emily Kay is into playing with Barbie dolls and she still loves to play dress up. She also loves to color. She will spend hours drawing. She wants plain paper. She does not like the "paper with the lines" (coloring books). She started playing soccer. She really enjoys the practice aspect of soccer, but she's not loving the games. During her first game, she asked her coach when it was going to be her turn to kick the ball. She loves to play hide and seek and is very good at it. Emily Kay is a good big sister and has asked me several times if Cannon is going to marry her or Adelaide.

Cannon at 2 years 2 months.

Cannon, Cannon, Cannon. Where do I begin? All boy! Rough and Loud. Cannon started school this year and loves it! He's having a hard time learning how to sit quietly at carpet time, but hopefully he'll learn soon. Cannon loves balls and trains. He's a huge Elmo fan and also enjoys Little Einsteins. He likes to play outside and is happiest when he's dirty. He likes to read books, especially books about trucks and trains. He loves to point out every.single.truck we pass while we're driving. He's talking more and more each day. He calls Sesame Street "Elmo's Wuld", he calls Emily Kay "Kay Kay" and Adelaide is Adelay. He is loves to name everything and walks around saying "Its a ________". Cannon is so tough, he falls down and bumps his head all day long and rarely cries. I feel like I bathe him in Neosporin every night.

Adelaide at 2 years 2 months

Adelaide is as bossy and feisty as ever. And we love her for it. She's too funny. She makes up her own words or gives things abbreviations. She is perfectly capable of using the real word she just prefers to use her own word. Cannon is still Shabba. Emily Kay sounds like Kay's. She always adds the s on the end. When asking for chocolate milk she asks for more choc. She calls herself "A Adeyaide" and me "a mama". The funniest thing to me is she asks for  sososhun (lotion) all day long. She loves playing with baby dolls and is beginning to enjoy playing dress up. She loves to sing and dance. She is very busy and is constantly moving. She is the best eater. Not only will she eat anything, she eats a lot of everything. It's so shocking to me because we've always had to either beg, trick, or threaten Emily Kay to eat anything.

Life with three is getting a little easier. It's so fun to watch their relationships deepen. They all love each other and are really starting to play together. I love to hear them giggling with each other and to see them hug. It just keeps getting better...but I'm not going to lie having 2 two year olds just might put me in the nut house! ;)

Cannon and Adelaide are 2!

We have 2 two year olds! What?! Hopefully we will survive the tantrums and hearing "Mine" every 2 seconds. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited that they are growing and developing just as they should be, but every once in a while I would trade all the screaming and fit throwing for the long, sleepless nights from when they were infants.

Cannon weighs 32 lbs 4 oz and is 2ft. 11.5 inches tall. He's in the 90th percentile for both weight and height. He is talking so much. He learns new words everyday. He calls Adelaide "Ad-lay". He likes to play with balls and cars. He really likes to do puzzles and is beginning to enjoy looking at books. He is such a sweet little boy, but he has a temper! He is wild and strong. He loves to wrestle with Matthew. He also loves to be outside. He will play with the basketball goal for hours. He also enjoys the sandbox.

Adelaide weighs 24 lbs 8 oz and is 2ft 10 inches tall. She's in the 30th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Oh, how to even begin describing Miss Ladybug. She is talking a lot, but we only understand half of what she says. She is FEISTY! Oh my, she tries to boss everyone around. She really loves her "Shabba" (the name she made up for Cannon). She takes care of him and really tries to keep him in line. One day, I walked in and she had Cannon laying on the ground and was changing his diaper. She loves baby dolls and playing in the kitchen. She likes to play dress-up, but only with EK. She's still very attached to her paci or "sassy" as she calls it. The elephant is still around, it goes everywhere with us.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they adjust to school. I predict that Adelaide will love it and Cannon will be fine as long as he is with her.

Summer Time!

We've had a great summer. I can't believe that Emily Kay starts school in a week. Cannon and Adelaide start too! We started off the summer with a trip to the beach. We went both my family and Matthew's family. It was so much fun! Matthew and I took advantage of all the extra hands. The kids really enjoyed the sand, water, and the pool.

I LOVE this of my big girl.

Lovin' the pool.

We came home from the beach and the next day Emily Kay started swimming lessons and we had VBS at church. She loved VBS! She also really enjoyed swim lessons. She learned a lot this summer and we are proud that she can swim! Of course, she still needs a little help, but overall she's doing great!

We played and played. Cannon and Adelaide have really become attached to each other this summer. They love each other, but they also learned how to fight, take toys, tattle, and then the next thing we know they're holding hands and laughing.

Sweet sisters.
Wild!

At the end of June, Emily Kay went to a dance camp. She loved it! I forgot to take my camera or phone in for their performance on the last day, but it was precious. She has already talked about going back next summer. Thanks, Aunt Kelly, for sending her. She loved it!

Then the 4th of July came and we got to spend it with some of our favorite people. The Taylors and The O'Banions. We had a very low key day. We had lots of good food and enjoyed watching the kids play.

The rest of July was spent playing inside or in some sort of water outside. It is HOT!
We got Cannon and Adelaide a small bounce house for their birthday. We've used it several times and they all love it.

Cannon also learned to smile like this... He thinks it's hilarious.
Cheese!
