Sweet, Sweet Cannon abd Precious, Precious Adelaide

People ask me all the time if one baby is "better" than the other. Of course, the answer is no. They are like any other baby. They have good days and bad days. However, they have very different personalities.

So far, Cannon has been a little more needy than Adelaide. Not that he's fussy or harder, he just likes to be held and talked to more. I joke when I say it's because he had to stay at the hospital and Adelaide stole all of his attention, but who knows maybe there is some truth in that. Cannon also REALLY likes me, which I love. He looks for me when he hears my voice and I can get the biggest grins from him. If he's crying it is almost always because he either wants to be held or is hungry. I think he'd eat 20 times a day if we offered it to him. Even though he's a little needier, I'd say he's the comforter in their relationship. He doesn't like for Adelaide to be upset. If she's crying and I don't respond quick enough he starts crying too and usually stops as soon as she does without me soothing him.

Here in this picture, Adelaide was crying and I went to find a paci for her and when I came back he'd put his hand on her. Now, I'll never know if it was just a fluke since those little hands are not really in his control yet, but I thought it was the sweetest thing.

Adelaide is just precious. She doesn't cry as much, but when she does it is harder to get her to calm down. She doesn't seem to enjoy being held as much, she'd rather look around or be sitting up in the bouncy seat. I think this may be why it is hard to get her to eat. She is rather dramatic and already knows how to poke out her bottom lip. Her cry always sounds as if you have really hurt her feelings. She doesn't seem to have a preference over Matthew or me or anybody else really. She reminds me so much of Emily Kay!
