All Smiles!

Emily Kay gave me her first "real" smile today. It is the sweetest face I've ever seen! Of course, I am a little biased. :)

Making Faces

I know I haven't posted any pictures this week. SORRY! :) We've just been staying around our house. Monday we went to visit Amy and Will and on Tuesday they came to visit us. Today Emily Kay is going to stay with Amy while I go visit visit my class at school and attend a baby shower for another teacher. These pictures are from this morning. Emily Kay and I were making faces at each other. She is finally starting to spend more time AWAKE!

First Dinner Out

Saturday night we took Emily Kay out for the first time. We went to Sumo, a Japanese restaurant, with Kristin, Amy, and Dan. It was fun for us to get out. Emily Kay slept through the whole meal.

Fun Weekend

Kristin came to visit us this weekend. We all had a great time. She came on Saturday and left Sunday afternoon. I wish she could have stayed longer.

Emily Kay is Growing

This morning Emily Kay was comfy in her Swaddle blanket. When she woke up and I began to change her - I realized that her umbilical cord had fallen off! I couldn't believe it and was actually a little sad. I guess because I realized just how fast time is going to fly.

2 Firsts and Dr. Checkup

This afternoon Emily Kay and I went on her first stroll. The weather was beautiful. In the pictures her eyes are closed, but she was awake. The sun was very bright and she did not like it. She would peek with one eye and then close it really tight. Then she opened the other eye and closed it tight. I really enjoyed getting outside. Tomorrow I can drive again! YEA!

This morning Matthew and I took Emily Kay for her 2 week check up. The doctor said she is doing great! The only bad part of the visit was the heel prick. She cried and cried and it made me want to cry!

Last night Dan, Amy, and Will came over to have dinner with us. It was so fun to have friends over. Emily Kay met her first friend - Will. Will was very sweet to her. When they got to our house Emily Kay's paci and bottle were on the coffee table. Will gave the paci to Emily Kay and brought the bottle to me. He's gonna make a good big brother(some day)!
