We caught Emily Kay opening presents under the tree!

Yum, Yum!

We made Christmas cookies last night with Bryce and Ella. I bought the pre-cut cookies and it made the process so easy and fun. The girls had a great time icing, decorating, and eating their cookies. Ella really enjoyed putting sprinkles on her cookies and Emily Kay enjoyed licking the icing off of her knife. Knife - sounds bad, maybe we should have given them spoons, OOPS!

Emily Kay's First Snow

The snow barely covered the ground, but when you live in Mississippi this counts!

Emily Kay did not like it. She kept saying "It's cold" and wrinkling up her nose. She did not want it on her hands at all. She's like her mama, she hates to be cold.

She was ready to go inside.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Well, I would like to say that we go to a tree farm and cut down our tree, but we don't. We head to the nearest Lowe's and pick one out. This is a very hard decision for me and I think I really try Matthew's patience. I just don't want a tree that is too skinny, too fat, too tall, too short...you get the picture. Anyway, this year Emily Kay was running around everywhere so I had to make this decision much faster than I liked. We were in line with a tree, when I saw a tree that was perfect already in a stand. I asked the clerk if we had to buy the stand too. He said no, so Matthew took the tree out of that stand and came home and put it in our stand. Thanks, Matthew!

We decorated after Emily Kay was asleep, and the next morning her face was priceless. I never have my camera at the right time. :(

She is very in to the Christmas lights this year and everywhere we go she comments on them. She says" Ooooo, pretty!" over and over again until you acknowledge that the lights are indeed pretty. However, she thinks that the lights are hot and won't touch them. Matthew and I just went with it and have been telling her that all of our decorations are hot ;) She hasn't touched a thing!

Thanksgiving

I am so thankful for Matthew and Emily Kay. We had a great holiday together. We went to Carlisle, MS to spend Thanksgiving day with Matthew's family. We enjoyed a delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal. Emily Kay really likes turkey and dressing. She also had a blast playing with the older children. I think she thought she was in on all the games, but really she just ran around laughing. On Friday morning, mom and I got up way too early to hit up the Black Friday specials, we had so much fun and really did find some great deals. That evening Matthew, Emily Kay and I drove to Starkville to get ready for the Egg Bowl. Saturday was a perfect day for football and we all had a great time watching the Dawgs beat the Rebels. It was a great place to be! As always, we enjoyed spending the weekend with The Whatleys.

Better Late

A few weeks ago Emily Kay and I went to the Ag Museum's pumpkin patch. We had a great time with great friends. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

Pictures from Emily Kay's MMO Halloween Party. They were all so cute. She loves going to "school". When we pull into the carpool line, she yells "Yay, coool" which is Yay, Schoool!

Halloween night, we went "Trick or Treating" with Ella, Harper, Sadie, and Jude. We had a great time, and Emily Kay figured out very quickly what the whole thing was all about. We got her to say thank you, but she never would say trick or treat.

Towards the end of our trick or treating, Emily Kay got very quiet. It was dark so Matthew and I thought maybe she'd fallen asleep. We turned on the flashlight to find Miss Emily Kay happily eating a bag of M&Ms. She had used her teeth to get the pack open.

Realizing that she'd been caught, she fell back into the wagon. We all got a great laugh.
After trick or treating, we went back to the Gray's house for taco soup and football. It was such a fun night, thanks Grays!
